What was the highlight of Ma Doo Bua Phuket

Great stay. Will be back.

It was well located. We stayed for only 1 night but the bed was very comfortable. The lily pads were stunning and well maintained. Good breakfast options and the swimming pool was a great way to beat the heat. The room is spacious with a large and comfortable bed.

The place gets very busy as its an attraction so make sure to have your breakfast early to avoid the hectic crowds.

The pond was magical and the villas were so cozy.

I think the location was a kind of drawback but overall it was a well balanced experience.

Lots of mosquitoes here, please bring repellent

The rooms are large and bed was comfortable. There are large amazon lilies and lots of photogenic spots which can only be accessed if one has paid for the activities. The café is picturesque and that is the only good thing about the hotel. There is a rush at the photographic spaces so please keep that in mind. Since there are lots of plants, mosquitoes are widespread so please bring spray repellents. The lily pond at the back has iguanas which was so nice to watch during the early morning.

They do not allow outside food and the restaurant closes by 6.40 pm. Also the restaurant food is expensive. So if you want to eat, either have to place order by 6 pm or go outside for food. They promised to give me takeaway breakfast since I have a flight early morning. However, during the morning they refused the takeaway breakfast. I am really disappointed by this. They informed me that they have few guests and so they cannot provide breakfast even though I paid for it. There is nothing special nearby so staying here was the only option for us.

Boring very boring

The accommodation was very good. Food was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was more like a restaurant with accommodation tagged on. There was no room service and the restaurant only opened between 9am and 7pm. There were no English channels on the TV. There was no bar and the so called café was just a room to the side of the restaurant

Good to stay for one night

Water lilies are worth to see ones. The restaurant is also nice. You will find some nice deserts there as well as beverages and food.

The place is very famous for its lake filled with water lilies. During the day there are a huge amount of people doing photo shoots. So the place isn't quiet at all during the day. I will not recommend to stay there more than one night. The hotel is old and not renovated. The room smells of damp. The wifi is slow and not everywhere in the room. Do not ask the reception to order a taxi for you. They will charge you twice as more as Grab app.

Pleasant

Nice bungalows, photogenic pound full of Victoria Amazonica/Giant water lilies. Accommodation and pool side is closed of from the restaurant that can be crowded during the day. Tasty great food and many dishes based on water lilies.

A number of the staff was rather arrogant and rude, sadly a tendency I have seen on several locations in Thailand where the famed Thai Hospitality has been lost since long.

LOVED IT! Came in with my wife and chilled for few days, amazing atmosphere in front of the big pool with the Chinese like cottages. You should come and try it away form the city noise.

Nice pool, lots of birds to watch. Massive bed and comfortable spacious room. We got a good last minute deal but i think if you were paying top price you would be dissapointed.

situated just off a motorway you have to walk down the side of to get anywhere and there is no pavemant. Not many staff around, you feel a little like yhur in a ghost hotel.

A very nice and quiet hotel in a good location to avoid the South of Phuket and the crowded beaches

The Asian style of the hotel with wooden furniture, the swimming pool was very nice and the restbeds very comfortable. The breakfast was nice even if not so much choice but the staff did its best .

If you love authentic Thai sea food, this place will not disappoint you. The hotel looks really nice from outside.

The place is so isolated that you will only get one 711 nearby which also is 2.4km from the hotel. The hotel staff does not help you wholeheartedly. The staff doesn't understand English. Vegetarian options for food are just 2.
